The kitchen really starts to heat up in February when students receive their very own paper chef hats to wear while they lend a helping hand to create delicious, healthy meals!

Recipe of the Month: Peanut (or Sun) Butter Banana Quesadillas!



  • 1 8-inch whole wheat tortilla
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter or Sun Butter
  • 1/2 medium banana
  • 1 tablespoon semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions - Spread the peanut butter (or sun butter) over the surface of the tortilla. Slice the banana very thinly and then arrange the slices over half of the tortilla. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the banana slices and fold the tortilla in half. Ask an adult to cook the quesadilla in a skillet over medium-low heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Let it cool a bit and enjoy!
